Current
Mohamed Fadhul is a Visiting Student Researcher in the Multiscale Reaction Engineering (MuRE) group at KAUST under the supervision of Professor Pedro Castaño. He recently completed his BEng in Chemical Engineering at the University of Manchester and will begin an MPhil in Advanced Chemical Engineering at the University of Cambridge.
His previous experience includes refinery operations and process engineering with Bapco Refining, where he worked on hydroprocessing and greenfield refinery expansion projects. He also completed a research internship at the University of Manchester, developing physics-informed machine learning models for vacuum pressure swing adsorption processes for post-combustion CO₂ capture.
At KAUST, his research focuses on the modelling and design of bioelectrochemical reactor systems, particularly microbial fuel cells for wastewater treatment and electricity generation.
