Biography

I am a chemical engineer with a keen interest in understanding and
optimizing the heart of chemical processes: the reactor itself. I have closely
worked with various configurations of reactors employed in academia and
industry; both from a modeling/computational approach as well as
experimentally. And most of the studies undertaken are typically started with
understanding fluid flow with each step adding the complexity of heat transfer,
mass transfer and finally that of reactions to reach the realistic scenario often
encountered in practice. Continuing the trend set hitherto, I will be working on
understanding catalytic multiphase reactions/reactors at KAUST. In my free
time, I prefer to kick back with a good book or dwell into the topics of astronomy,
popular sciences and Indian history.
