Biography

Muhammed Ikbal Arıkan is a Ph.D. student in the Multiscale Reaction Engineering (MuRE) group. Originally from Turkey, he holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Istanbul Technical University, where he specialized in thermofluids and interfacial phenomena. He previously joined the Droplet LAB at KAUST as a visiting student, researching droplet dynamics and surface tension detection using image processing. His current research focuses on computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and reactor modeling. Beyond his academic work, he is the founder of the Türkişi Engineering YouTube channel, where he produces educational content in engineering sciences, reaching over 17,000 subscribers and 3.5 million viewers.

Research Interests

Muhammed’s research centers on reactor design and computational modeling, with a particular focus on multiphase systems, electrocatalysis, and fuel cell technologies. By integrating numerical methods with reactor-scale design, his research aims to develop efficient, scalable, and sustainable solutions for catalytic and electrochemical systems.
