Biography

Dr. Azimet A. Karluk is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Physical Science and Engineering Division at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). He holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from KAUST, alongside dual Master’s degrees in Materials Science and Nanotechnology from Bilkent University and Industrial and Systems Engineering from Istanbul Sehir University. He earned his B.S. from Nanjing University. Dr. Karluk’s research is centered on sustainable energy materials and heterogeneous catalysis, with a strong focus on CO_2 conversion, hydrogen production, and microbial fuel cells. His expertise spans catalyst synthesis and characterization, reforming, and catalytic cracking, with specific emphasis on developing deactivation-resistant catalysts and zeolites for bio- and electro-reactors.
